WILFUL ACTS

Invited to contribute to an exhibition about clay, Wilful Acts is a slab-built relief of 22 interlocking pieces that form a crystalline jigsaw. The slight bowing of each shard and the kiln-toasted edges hint at the process-driven requirements of clay, and the relationship between the will of maker and that of material.
